These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Write Pilot WordPress plugin and related services ("Service") provided by Write Pilot ("we", "our", or "us"). By purchasing, installing, or using Write Pilot, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License Grant

1.1 License Scope

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Write Pilot on the number of WordPress websites specified by your plan:

• Starter: 1 website
• Professional: Up to 10 websites
• Agency: Unlimited websites

1.2 Permitted Use

You may:

• Install and use the plugin on websites you own or manage
• Use generated content for any lawful purpose
• Modify the plugin for your own use (modifications not supported)
• Receive updates and support as described in your plan

1.3 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the plugin
• Share your license key with third parties
• Remove or alter copyright notices or branding (unless using White-Label feature when available)
• Use the plugin for illegal purposes or to generate prohibited content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the plugin
• Use the plugin to generate spam or misleading content
• Exceed your licensed site limit

2. Payment and Billing

2.1 Pricing

All prices are in US Dollars and are one-time lifetime payments unless otherwise stated. Prices may change at any time, but changes do not affect existing licenses.

2.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By making a purchase, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service.

2.3 Taxes

Prices may be subject to VAT or other taxes depending on your location. Any applicable taxes will be shown at checkout.

3. Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Please see our Refund Policy for complete details and conditions.

4. Updates and Support

4.1 Updates

Your license includes lifetime access to plugin updates, including:

• Bug fixes and security patches
• New features and improvements
• Compatibility updates for WordPress and PHP

4.2 Support

Support is provided via email at [email protected]. Response times vary by plan:

• Starter: Best effort, within 48 hours
• Professional: Priority, within 24 hours
• Agency: Dedicated, within 12 hours

4.3 Support Scope

Support covers:

• Installation and activation issues
• Configuration assistance
• Bug reports and troubleshooting
• Feature usage questions

Support does NOT cover:

• Customization or modification requests
• Third-party plugin conflicts (we'll try to help, but no guarantee)
• Server or hosting issues
• AI API account or billing issues (contact the AI provider)

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 AI Providers

Write Pilot requires API keys from third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). You are responsible for:

• Obtaining and maintaining valid API keys
• Complying with the terms of service of these providers
• Paying any API usage costs directly to the providers
• Ensuring your use complies with their acceptable use policies

5.2 Image Services

If using the WebP Media Engine, you must comply with Pexels and Unsplash terms of service regarding image usage and attribution.

6. Content and Responsibility

6.1 Generated Content

You are solely responsible for all content generated using Write Pilot. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content. You should:

• Review all generated content before publishing
• Ensure content complies with applicable laws
• Verify factual accuracy of generated information
• Not publish content that infringes on third-party rights

6.2 Prohibited Content

You may not use Write Pilot to generate:

• Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activities
• Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content
• Sexually explicit or pornographic content
• Content that infringes copyrights or trademarks
• Malware, spam, or phishing content
• Content designed to deceive or defraud
• Content violating AI provider terms

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Plugin Ownership

Write Pilot, including all code, documentation, and branding, is owned by Write Pilot and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Your license does not transfer ownership.

7.2 Generated Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content generated using Write Pilot, subject to the terms of the AI providers. We claim no ownership over your generated content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

WRITE PILOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The plugin will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
• The plugin will be compatible with all hosting environments
• Third-party AI services will remain available or unchanged

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRITE PILOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Business interruption
• Reputational harm from generated content
• Costs of third-party AI services

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the plugin.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Write Pilot from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the plugin
• Content you generate or publish
• Violation of these Terms
• Violation of third-party rights

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may stop using Write Pilot at any time by uninstalling the plugin and deactivating your license.

11.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your license if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the refund policy
• Use the plugin for prohibited purposes

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license is revoked. You must uninstall the plugin from all websites. Content previously generated remains yours.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Write Pilot is registered. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
